TruBrain drinks for people on the go. We live in a fast-paced world where we are constantly trying to accomplish more in a less amount of time.

This has lead to a high stress lifestyle where most people struggle to keep up and rely more and more on energy drinks and caffeine to get through the day.

Many of us seek some kind of boost, whether a cup of coffee in the morning, an energy drink in the afternoon, or both, to give us some kind of advantage.

But sometimes, that extra stimulation comes at a price. It can be hard to focus on a task when you’re feeling the jitters. That is where TruBrain comes in.

What is TruBrain Nootropic Drinks

TruBrain is a California company headed by CEO Chris Thompson. While Thompson runs the company, a team of UCLA trained neuroscientists and Lead Neuroscientist Dr. Andrew Hill are the brains behind the formula.

TruBrain takes a scientific approach to solving the problem that energy drinks do not – genuine focus. According to their website, TruBrain was designed to “help you overcome mental blocks, improve verbal fluency, and boost your mental endurance.”

TruBrain is able to accomplish this through a very careful combination of what are called nootropics and other supplements meant to fuel the brain.

What are Nootropics

If you’ve never heard the term before, it’s okay. Dr. Corneliu E. Giurgea, a Romanian psychologist and chemist, developed piracetam, the first nootropic, in 1964 and later coined the term “nootropic” in 1972. Nootropics are substances that give cognitive benefits to the brain and are sometimes labeled as “smart drugs.”

While no drug is going to actually make you smarter, nootropics are designed to improve cognitive functions, such as memory, concentration, focus and recall, by supplying the brain with the nutrients it needs to work properly.

Analysis of Nootropic Drinks by TruBrain

Piracetam is the main active ingredient in the Original and Caffeine Free versions of TruBrain, and that makes sense. Piracetam is the original racetam from which other members of the racetam family are derived. It is the weakest of the racetams but is very safe to take and does not cause a jittery effect like some stimulants would.

However, the 1,000mg dosage is around half of a typical dose of piracetam. But since it is combined with oxiracetam, that may account for the lesser dosage.

The effects of oxiracetam are similar to piracetam, but are more potent and can last longer. Oxiracetam are improved concentration and focus, attention span, learning capacity and logical thinking. It also is a stimulant and increases mental energy, alertness and motivation.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine, tyrosine, choline and magnesium are all nutrients needed by the brain to function properly. They also regulate the production of acetylcholine and maintain cell structures in the brain.

L-Theanine and caffeine work together well as caffeine provides energy and L-theanine has a relaxing property. It’s recommended to take L-theanine and caffeine together at a 2:1 ratio to negate caffeine’s jittery effect.

The Boost dose is not meant to be taken regularly, but as a needed cognitive boost before a mentally draining task, such as writing, programming, or taking an exam. Noopept is an excellent choice as a nootropic because it is fast-acting and will provide you with the focus and concentration you need and uridine will help you retain the information.

TruBrain Supplements Overview

The taste of the Original flavor is a little bitter, probably from the piracetam, but not entirely terrible. The Boost’s flavor is sweeter and is a favorite among users.

Don’t expect immediate results when taking TruBrain because it can take up to 3-7 days of daily use to start to feel the full effects of piracetam. I recommend sticking with it for at least a couple of weeks before deciding if it’s for you or not.

You can get what they call a 10-day trial pack (although they recommend taking it twice a day to start) of the Boost flavor for $10. If you get a monthly subscription, you can get 30 drinks for $65 a month.

The price seems a little high, but it’s still less than a cup of coffee at Starbucks, or a bottle of 5-Hour Energy, or can of Red Bull per day. But don’t expect the energy surge you can get from those products as TruBrain doesn’t work that way.

TruBrain is designed to fuel your brain to maximize your ability to concentrate and focus on the task at hand, not to give you nervous energy.
